Seek Labs and Utah State University Forge Innovative Partnership to Empower Student Interns

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, April 2021 – Seek Labs, a healthcare innovations company doing research in infectious disease diagnostic systems and pharmaceuticals, announces a groundbreaking agreement with Utah State University (USU) to create a unique internship program that enables two USU students to gain valuable industry experience while continuing their academic pursuits on campus. The collaboration between Seek Labs and USU underscores a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry and providing students with hands-on job experience.
Under the terms of the agreement, multiple USU students will have the opportunity to work as interns and perform research on behalf of Seek Labs in USU’s laboratory facilities. The unique internship allows students to remain as full-time students at the university and operate under both a USU faculty member and Seek Labs employees. This arrangement offers several significant advantages:
- Practical Experience: Interns will gain hands-on experience in a real-world industry setting, applying the knowledge and skills they acquire in the classroom to meaningful projects and research at Seek Labs.
- Uninterrupted Learning: Students can continue taking classes at USU while interning at Seek Labs, which allows students to maintain academic progress without interruption or relocation.
- Mentorship: The internship program includes a collaborative mentorship structure, with supervision provided by both USU faculty members and experienced professionals at Seek Labs. Students will gain comprehensive research experience and bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application.
