Jared earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah. Jared went on to earn a MBA from Boise State University.
Jared Bauer is the co-founder and CEO of Seek Labs Inc. Jared also serves as the Chairman of the Board of BioHive, where he is leading an effort to brand the Utah Life Science community and expand its global reach. Jared also serves as CEO of IONIQ Sciences and as a member of BioUtah’s Board of Directors.
In 2012, Jared founded Exuro Medical and acquired BurnFree Products. In just two years, with a focus on sustainable revenue generation, he led the Exuro Medical team to expand BurnFree distribution to 58 countries, managing regulatory processes, re-working quality systems, and making BurnFree the second-largest burn treatment product line in the world. Jared previously served as an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at Ensign College.
Jared founded Seek Labs because he is passionate about researching and innovating healthcare solutions that positively impact global health. Jared also wanted to run a company driven by values that prioritized innovation, research, and community engagement.
Jared is deeply passionate about giving back to the community. Jared currently serves as a trustee for The Oliver Fund, a 501c3 non-profit he co-founded with his wife, Sarah.
Keith earned his B.S. in Health Sciences from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Keith went on to earn a MPT from University of the Sciences where he completed a thesis comparing the relationship between lordotic curvature of the spine and the strength of paraspinal musculature. Keith also earned a MBA from University of the Sciences in Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business. Keith then went on to earn a DPT from University of the Sciences.
Keith founded and served as a managing partner at a life-sciences focused venture fund. Keith also served as Chief Business Officer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Center for Innovation (PCI). Most recently, Keith served as the Chief Innovation and Economic Engagement Officer at the University of Utah where he managed technology commercialization, new ventures & investments, corporate partnerships, and economic development.
Keith is passionate about healthcare innovation both as an innovator and investor. Keith is committed to supporting healthcare innovation that improves life for people everywhere.
Keith has volunteered for numerous organizations that support economic empowerment, scientific advancement, and education including–among others–the University Economic Development Association, BioUtah, BioHive, the Academic Drug Discovery Consortium, EDC Utah, the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation, the Pennsylvania Office of the Governor, DreamIt Ventures, University City Science Center, and Village Capital.
Keith was also appointed by Governor Spencer Cox, to the Utah Unified Economic Opportunity Commission in 2022.
Brad studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Utah.
Brad has spent the past 36 years in Executive management where he has successfully built technical organizations and overseen the design, development and support of sophisticated, large-scale systems and applications across numerous platforms and industries. A serial entrepreneur and inventor, he served as the technical founder of six startups, two of which went public. Brad is also a named inventor on thirteen issued U.S. patents involving various software algorithms and processes.
Brad is passionate about innovation and research that improves lives globally. Brad co-founded Seek Labs with a vision to positively impact lives, regardless of location or circumstances.
Brad has served in various capacities for organizations that help children be successful in life. Brad is passionate about helping children and young adults understand their potential. Brad also volunteers his time with spinal cord injury patients at various rehab centers.
Brad also serves on the board of Opio Connect, which provides automated-dose assembly systems to opioid treatment providers in remote areas.
Craig earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho and a B.A. in Education from Utah State University.
He began his career in the biotech business as the President and CEO of CancEr2, Inc, a company that developed a novel treatment for prostate cancer. He also served as President and CEO of ClonE2, which was a spinoff from that company. As President of Kirkland Biosciences for more than a decade, Mosman led a company which focused on acquisition of early stage technologies, funding the development of technologies, and licensing and sale of the technologies.
Craig has invested in and served as served as a C-Suite executive in several companies, has raised over $100M in funding, and led successful exits. Craig believes the technologies developed at Seek Labs will change global health. He has personally witnessed healthcare inequalities around the world.
Dr. Alison O’Mahony earned a BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology from University College Cork from where she went on to earn a PhD in Immunology. Dr. O’Mahony has served in scientific leadership roles at Recursion, Eurofins and DiscoverX. She has led academic research efforts, CRO-based phenotypic screening services, and drug discovery efforts in biotech. Dr. O’Mahony has served as a subject-matter expert in disease biology (immunology, inflammation, immune-oncology, and fibrosis), has published several peer-reviewed articles, and presented at international conferences.
Dr. O’Mahony is deeply committed to building and serving the wider scientific community. She is passionate about helping her community realize the full potential of motivated individuals to drive innovation, improve healthcare outcomes, expand markets, and address health disparities. She is a founding member of the BioHive Women in Technology and STEM (WITS) chapter, which focuses on supporting and promoting women in Utah’s STEM fields. She also serves on professional boards including Talent Ready Utah, Breakthrough Cancer Research, and the Inflammation Research Association.
Dr. Douglas Gladue earned a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Rhode Island and went on to earn a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Stony Brook University. Dr. Gladue is an internationally recognized virologist and ASF expert and leader in vaccine development and swine genomics. He has previously led and developed vaccines from concept to commercialization for foreign animal diseases at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center for the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). In his role with the USDA, he led research, invented, and commercialized the first and second live-attenuated vaccines for ASF, significantly contributing to the global management of this critical agricultural issue. He is also one of the only ARS recipients in history to receive the prestigious Arthur S. Flemming award for his ASF vaccine accomplishments. Dr. Gladue is an Executive Board Member and Scientific Director for the Global African Swine Fever Research Alliance (GARA). Additionally, he serves as an Editorial Board Member for several scientific journals, including the Journal of Virology and of Viruses.
Annie earned her B.E. in Biotechnology from Birla Institute of Technology. Annie went on to earn a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Utah. Annie’s PhD research focused on glycobiochemistry, which included enzyme characterization of novel heparinase, creating oligosaccharide drug candidates, and testing oligosaccharide drug candidates in neuro cell lines.
Annie previously worked as an Investment Analyst at Sorenson Impact. She performed investment diligence for impact-oriented startups and focused primarily on international startup companies throughout India, Africa, and South America.
Annie joined Seek Labs because she firmly believed in the company’s mission to impact global health. Annie believes the work at Seek Labs has the potential to change the world and improve lives around the globe.
During her undergraduate studies, Annie helped start an organization where college students could volunteer their time in rural areas around Indian residential colleges as teachers, career coaches, and more. More recently, Annie has volunteered with the University of Utah Hospital, Best Friends Animal Society, The Road Home, Indian Students Association, and the American Red Cross.
Deric earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Utah State University. Deric went on to earn a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Utah where he focused his studies in Electrochemistry, which included research into the soft nanoparticles by the Resistive Pulse Method. Deric currently holds 9 publications relating to his electrochemistry research.
Deric previously worked as a Senior Chemist at e-sens where he took a water-quality detection device from concept to production, including product invention, fundraising, development, and sales.
Deric joined Seek Labs to further research and innovation in novel biotechnology and electrochemical sensors. Deric firmly believes in Seek Labs’s mission and appreciates his ability to contribute to healthcare innovation.
Deric is actively involved in his community and loves getting kids involved in science by volunteering as a Cub Scout Den Leader, a Girl Scout Assistant Leader, and a private tutor to friends, neighbors, and family.
Bill Stoddart is an entrepreneur, educator, and innovative problem solver who brings years of experience from a variety of fields and endeavors to support individuals and organizations as they work to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for their capital resources. Having founded two different registered investment advisory firms with a combined AUM of more than $100mm, along with cofounding HomeStake, he has spent years building his own businesses, while also working with investors and entrepreneurs to help them understand the various financial landscapes they encounter and the directions they wish to pursue. He continues to engage with clients and partners from early-stage businesses and family offices to inclusive and service-oriented capital providers and NGOs to support an ever-expanding ecosystem focused on fostering inclusive and enduring communities.
Pete Koson earned BS in history at the University of New Hampshire and MBA in Boise State University. Mr. Koson is the founder of Ninety South Consulting, the former CFO of Wilkinson Montesano Builders, and founder and managing partner of Greeneck Earthworks. As the director of the Gallatin County, Montana, Small Business Development Center, Koson worked with numerous local businesses and entrepreneurs on effective business planning, strategy, financial forecasting, and loan packaging. Koson brings a diverse operational and financial skill set to any team, he has worked across a wide range of industries and has lived and worked in New Zealand, Greenland, and Antarctica, including a year-long stint as the station manager at Amundsen-Scott Station located at the geographic South Pole.
Cindy Dunkle is the Chief People Officer for Denali Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. As Chief People Officer, Dunkle oversees human resources, company facilities, and environmental health and safety. Her leadership has been key to the company’s growth and talent acquisition strategy. Dunkle was a key part of the organization and strategy through the company’s IPO in 2017, which was the largest in the biotech industry that year.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Dunkle is a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, understanding their needs while aligning them with organizational objectives. In 2022, she was named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology by The Healthcare Technology Report. She has also been featured on PharmaVoice’s Woman of the Week podcast where she was recognized as a catalyst for change in the life sciences industry.
Dunkle received a B.S. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University. Prior to her role at Denali, she held key HR roles at Adverum Biotechnologies and Genentech. Dunkle currently serves on the Board of Managers for Life Science Cares Bay Area, a collective of Bay Area life sciences companies to address poverty and inequality locally. Additionally, Dunkle is the Vice Chair of BioHive, a public-private non-profit representing Utah’s collective of life sciences and healthcare innovation companies.
Michael Paul is CEO, President, and Director of MARAbio, a precision immunology biotechnology company that is commercializing groundbreaking technologies to detect Maternal Autoantibody Related Autism (MARA), an autoimmune subtype of autism associated with more severe forms of the condition. Prior to his appointment as MARAbio’s CEO, Dr. Paul co-founded Lineagen, Inc. in 2006, where he served as President, CEO, and Director from the company’s start up to commercial growth and through its strategic acquisition in 2020.
He earned a BA from Colby College and went on to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Utah. Dr. Paul has been recognized as one of Utah’s leading entrepreneurs, for which he was appointed to the Utah Technology Industry Commission by former Governor Michael O. Leavitt. He has also served as Vice Chairman for the Utah Technology Council. Dr. Paul was a finalist for EY’s 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year award and was named a “Utah 100 Winner” by MountainWest Capital Network.
Wayne Shore is a Senior Vice President at Operation Technologies. He has decades of experience conducting military personnel research, mostly for the Air Force. Dr. Shore earned BS in Psychology at Duke University, MS in Psychology at George Peabody College, and PhD in Psychology at Oklahoma State University.

Randy Rasmussen co-founded BioFire Diagnostics (previously Idaho Technology) in 1991. Dr. Rasmussen, who went on to hold positions as President, COO, and CEO, led BioFire through countless milestones, including growing the company to over 3,000 employees, developing biothreat surveillance technologies for the US military, and inventing the field of Syndromic testing for easy diagnosis of infectious disease syndromes. Dr. Rasmussen also led BioFire through a successful $500M sale to BioMérieux and strategically supported a dual IPO/acquisition path led by JP Morgan in 2020.
Dr. Rasmussen earned a BSc in Biochemistry from Utah State University and went on to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Utah. Dr. Rasmussen has authored or co-authored over 20 publications and has developed several patented technologies. Dr. Rasmussen currently serves as Chairman of the Board for BioUtah and as a Board Member for Quansys Biosciences.

Each year, we encourage our Seekers to get involved in our community. Our Seekers have organized service projects, spent time in local schools, and served vulnerable populations in our community.
To support our team’s commitment to our community, we allot 40 additional PTO hours to each of our team members every year to volunteer with the charity of their choice. Since the program’s inception in March 2022, our Seekers have logged hundreds of volunteer hours in our community.
